- Gold Investment Guide, Is It Worth It? May 20, 2021
-
If you have old gold or broken gold jewelry, selling it can be the best way to get cash immediately.
Gold Investment
The most common gold used for investment is 999 (24k) pure gold whether in coin form or gold bullion. Containing 99% pure gold, it has a bright yellow color and is naturally soft and malleable. However, due to this 24k is very seldom used as jewelry.

Other Grades of Gold
On the other hand, more solid and less expensive forms of gold are K9, K14, K18, and the most common K22 gold, which are commonly used for rings, necklaces, bracelets, and other gold jewelry.
These types of gold are less expensive due to the percentage of pure gold used. For example, K22 gold only contains 91.6% pure gold and the other 8.4% is other components such as copper, silver, and other alloys. These materials are added to strengthen the jewelry so it does not break easily.

This also applies to white gold. White gold is still gold however, in order to achieve that shiny white color, other materials are mixed with the gold. The most common white gold grades are K18 and K9, where the purity is only 75% and 37.5%.

Fortunately, this does not mean your K9, K14, K20, or K22 gold has no value. If you want to sell these types of gold, the price you will get is based on the content of pure gold that can be extracted from the item after being melted and refined (purity of gold).
But here’s a heads up for you. Hang on to your pants when you are selling gold lower than K22. As the resell value is only based on purity, you will most likely lose some money, especially white gold items.
Jewel Cafe Accepts Any Types of Gold
If you have any old gold, white gold, platinum or even silver come on by to Jewel Cafe and get instant cash for your items!
We can accepted old, broken, even small pieces of jewelry without receipt.
We can accept any gold grade/carat such as K24 (999.9/999), K22 (916), K18 (750), K14 (585), K9 (375).
Service and Estimation
The price of your item will be estimated based on the purity, density, depreciation, condition and etc. The estimation will take around 10 to 15 minutes (varies with total number of items).
While you are waiting, we will serve complimentary beverages and snacks. We also provide a play area for those that come with children.

- What You Need to Know Before Buying Diamonds April 11, 2021
-
We always hear the saying ‘diamonds are a girl’s best friend’. Yes, undeniably diamonds are beautiful and can make any girl feel like a million dollars. But is it actually worth a million dollars? Below we will further explain what you need to know before buying diamonds.
What is Diamond 4C’s?

When you purchase a house, the common saying is ‘location, location, location’. But when you want to purchase a diamond, the saying is ‘4C, 4C, 4C’.
The 4Cs is the universal method for assessing the quality of any diamond, anywhere in the world. Every diamond that comes with a GIA certificate will state the diamond’s 4C’s as well as the individual serial number for the precious stone. But what exactly is 4C’s? Here is the rundown.

1. Color
GIA’s diamond color-grading system measures the degree of colorlessness. The less colour, the higher the grade. The GIA diamond color grades range from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown).2. Cut
Cut actually refers to the diamond facets’ ability to transmit light and sparkle so intensely, not the shape (round, oval etc).3. Clarity
Diamond clarity is the assessment of small imperfections on the surface and within the stone. However, it is important to keep in mind that diamonds are as unique as our fingerprints. Natural imperfections are inevitable.4. Carat
A diamond’s carat is the diamond’s weight, not its size. Also, bigger doesnt necessarily mean better. In fact, a high carat diamond with a poor cut may look smaller than a diamond with a smaller carat and a very good cut.Is Diamonds Good for Investment?

These days, more and more people are becoming smart buyers especially when it comes to valuables such as gold and diamonds. Most of us care about how much we may be able to get if we ever need to sell it in the future. Unfortunately, unlike gold, diamonds’ resale value is low.
The reality is, most diamonds will decline in value over time. Immediately after you have made your purchase and leave the store, the ring is now worth 50% less than what you paid for barely a few minutes ago. Just like when you drive a newly purchased car off the lot, the value will dramatically drop the very second you walk out of the store.
Diamonds typically resell for 25% to 50% of the purchase price. But even less if your diamond does not come with a certificate.

- Mengapa Nilai Emas Putih Rendah? April 5, 2021
-
Apakah Maksud Emas Putih?

Kenapa Emas Putih Harga Beli Mahal Tetapi Bila Jual Harga Murah?

Jewel Cafe Membeli Emas Putih Terpakai
Barang kemas anda rosak? Putus?

- 5 Interesting Facts You Didn’t Know About Rolex Watches March 30, 2021
-
We all know Rolex as the gold standard in luxury timepieces. Rolex is undoubtedly the most iconic brand in the world. Rolex’s made its name throughout the years from the success and popularity in mainstream culture such as James Bond and Paul Newman.
Here’s some interesting facts that you didn’t know about your favorite high-end watch. 🙂
1. The First Waterproof Watch

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Developed in 1926, was the brand was the first to pioneer a patented system of screwing down the bezel, case back, and winding crown against the middle case. Now, every Rolex in the Oyster collection is guaranteed to be waterproof down to at least 100 metres.
This became an even more phenomenon when in November 1927, a young English swimmer called Mercedes Gleitze swam across the English channel. Gleitze was wearing a Rolex Oyster. To the surprise of skeptics, the watch remained working perfectly despite bearing the strong sea conditions for over 10 hours.
2. Rolex Has Their Own Foundry

Rolex Datejust Rolex is a company that does things a lot differently from its competitors. It is the only watch brand in the world to have all of its gold and platinum made on site. They even use a highly guarded formula to produce the 18-ct yellow, white, and Everose gold alloys specific to Rolex.
3. It Takes A Year To Make A Rolex

Rolex Daytona From shaping the parts of the case to testing a completed watch for precision, the process takes around one year to complete a single piece. Not forgetting that almost everything they use is made in-house.
4. It Comes In 26 Languages

- Iconic Hermes Namesakes, The History Behind Kelly and Birkin Bags March 28, 2021
-

Hello there! Welcome 🙂
Today we are sharing a bit about the namesakes’ of Hermes iconic bags.
Hermes is the type of brand where just the name exudes luxury. It is not only a fashion accessory but the ultimate status symbol. Of course, the most iconic piece from Hermes will undoubtedly be their Hermes Kelly and Hermes Birkin.
‘The Princess’

In the 1930s, Robert Dumas, son-in-law of Émile Hermès, created the iconic Hermes Kelly. However, the origins of this bag have run further back over 30 years.
The first prototype was originally introduced in 1892 as a saddle holder and was formerly known as Haut à courroies. Then in 1923, Émile Hermès and Ettore Bugatti (founder of Bugatti Automobiles) designed the bag for Hermès’s wife Julie. The design was made simple and conventional that not only allowed riders to carry their saddles but also fit them through car doors.
Only later in the 1930s, Robert Dumas re-designed the Haut à courroies into a spacious travel bag which he called the Sac à dépêches or also know as Hermes Kelly.
The Sac à Dépêches made its name after Grace Kelly was photographed using it to shield her pregnant belly, after having first been introduced to the bag on the set of Hitchcock’s To Catch a Thief. After much popularity, the brand decided to rename the bag after the princess in 1956.
Birkin Barf Bag Origins

Created in 1984, the muse behind the Birkin is none other than the Paris-based British actress Jane Birkin. It all began when Jane Birkin met Jean-Louis Dumas, son of Robert Dumas.
On a flight from Paris to London in the early 1980s Jane, who had been sitting next to Dumas; was carrying a straw bag that couldn’t hold onto her belongings properly, and everything came down crashing onto her. Jane began to rant about how nicer bags were never big enough to carry belongings. Dumas, motivated by Jane’s and probably many other women’s struggles, created a new and convenient design.
The Hermes Birkin began with a sketch Dumas drew on an airplane’s barf bag and has now evolved into the world’s most recognizable bag in the world.
However, despite the namesake, Birkin receives no money for lending her name. Although Hermès does give a lump sum each year as a form of royalty for Jane that she then donates to charities of her choice.

- Rolex’s Little Sister, Tudor Watch | Branded Watch Cash Buyer KL March 10, 2021
-

“For some years now, I have been considering the idea of making a watch that our agents could sell at a more modest price than our Rolex watches, and yet one that would attain the standard of dependability for which Rolex is famous. I decided to form a separate company, with the object of making and marketing this new watch.
It is called the TUDOR watch company.”
– H. WilsdorfIt Wasn’t Hans
In 1926, the house of “Veuve de Philippe Hüther”, a watch dealer, registered the trademark “The Tudor” for Hans Wilsdorf (also the founder of Rolex). He had only acquired the exclusive usage rights to Tudor.

Rolex’s Little Sister
Tudor is the sister brand of Rolex.
Hans Wilsdorf’s aim of the Tudor brand was to offer more affordable watches whilst preserving the Rolex reputation for quality.
And selling them in the market at a relatively economical price, attracting the majority of watch lovers.
Specializing in the production of luxury watches of similar quality to Rolex but at a lower price.

Early Tudor watches had the Rolex crown logo, shared Rolex parts, and even used Rolex movements.

On some Tudor pieces from this time, the name Rolex can also be found on it. The reason for this is that Rolex has already established itself quite well on the market, and therefore, Tudor could leverage the Rolex name to gain trust and leverage.

However, the later Tudor watches no longer have the crown logo, and switched to the movement produced by ETA under the Swiss Swatch.
In 2015, started to use the self-produced Tudor movement.
The Rose of Tudor Dynasty

In 1936 the brand was fully transferred from the house of “Veuve de Philippe Hüther” to Hans Wilsdorf.
This had resulted in the design of the rose of the TUDOR dynasty. Inscribed within a shield, this logo symbolized the invincible union of strength – the watch’s robustness – with grace – the beauty of its lines.
In 1946, Wilsdorf established ”Montres Tudor S.A. Company”. He wanted to expand the brand and start to establish it so that it could stand on its own legs without leaning on Rolex.
Ladies Included
Ever since the beginning, the company specialized in models for both men and women. So it came to no surprise that the Clair de Rose collection for women became one of the best selling models for ladies when they released in 2011.

In recent years, Tudor watches have become more and more individual, so the number of Tudor fans has gradually increased. Bold yet graceful designs, and affordable prices, Tudor certainly does not live in the shadow of ‘her big sister’ anymore.
