K18 gold contains 75% gold and 25% alloy. It can be seen with the number 750 or K18 hallmark on the items. For the gold coin pendant don't have hallmark but it is K18 based on the density come out 18 and the acid test. K18 gold is less expensive as compared to 24K and 22K plus it lower market price when we want to sell it back. Some of people asked whether K18 will faded or not? The answer is not faded. The color remains consistent over time. It's possible, however, for some fading to occur when gold is plated over some non-gold base metal. Fading doesn't always happen with plated metals, and the fading process would take time and may not even be noticeable in many cases. This time I received one customer that brought in a gold coin pendant. This customer was Indian man and on the gold coin engraved his God Name. This customer want to sell it because not wearing it anymore. This pendant don't have any hall mark but after I checked, it was K18 grade based on density and color on the test stone. Then we quoted the best price him and he agreed to sell. As we know, usually the gold coin or gold bar was a solid design and the density must be come out 24 for K24, 22 for K22 and for this case, the density was 18 for K18.
