1. Pegang cincin pada gelung dan bukan pada permata cincin berlian. Ini kerana jari jemari boleh meninggalkan lapisan berminyak pada batu permata dan seterusnya mengurangkan kilauannya. Anda boleh menghembus perlahan pada cincin itu hingga ia berkabus dan selepas itu gosok lembut dengan kain pengesat cermin mata.

2. Simpan cincin berlian di dalam kotak berasingan atau beg lembut yang kecil untuk mengelakkan batu permatanya daripada tercalar akibat tergeser dengan barang kemas berlian yang lain. Cara lain adalah dengan membalut cincin berlian dalam fabrik lembut, kertas tisu atau beg kecil yang tertutup.

3. Dapatkan khidmat pakar tukang emas bagi memastikan ikatan tatahan berlian pada cincin cukup teguh dalam tempoh setiap 12 hingga 18 bulan. Ini penting khususnya bagi cincin emas putih yang lebih rapuh berbanding emas kuning.

4. Simpan barang kemas anda seperti cincin dalam tempat yang kering kerana udara yang keterlaluan atau lembap memberi kesan ke atas batu permata anda.

Historically, a watch could be designated as a chronometer by its own manufacturer to attest of its high precision, a process which obviously carried a risk of fraudulent abuse. To guarantee the quality of its chronometers, Rolex made the choice to have them officially certified, in spite of the costs and extra time required. To mark this difference, in the late 1930s, the brand changed the inscription on its dials from “Chronometer” to “Officially Certified Chronometer”. In 1951, official certification became obligatory. Today we would like to share the simple steps to clean your SILVER jewelry!

We all know that silver jewelry looks old and rusty over time, and the most common reason is unavoidable, air.

While you can shine silver manually, it takes muscle and time. It even removes some of the silver itself during the abrasive process of polishing

The tarnish develop as a chemical reaction when silver combines with sulfur and creates silver sulfide, darkening the surface. The resulting color can range in color from yellow to black, which not the most attractive way to show off your jewels.

What You need!

• A dish or bowl
• Aluminum foil
• Boiling water
• 1 tablespoon of baking soda for each cup of water

What you need to do,

1. Line the bottom of a dish or bowl with aluminum foil.
2. Bring water to a roaring boil (it should be enough to fill that bowl or dish).
3. Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda per cup of water. Expect that the solution may bubble and froth a bit.
4. Place the piece of silver jewelry in the dish, making sure it’s touching the aluminum foil. This is essential for the chemical reaction to occur.
5. Pour the solution of baking soda and boiling water into dish.
6. Let sit for two to 10 minutes, depending on the level of tarnish.
7. Allow it to dry.

If you’re in shock and wondering how it work, here’s the deal.  It’s actually reversing the chemical reaction that made your silver tarnish in the first place. 

During this electrochemical reaction, the silver sulfide atoms transfer from the jewelry to the aluminum. In other words, your ring will be free from the sulfur that darkened it in the first place. Pretty crazy, right.
