Points for purchase / assessment

I just bought a 585(K14) Gold Ring with Stone from a customer. It was her first time selling her jewelry for cash, she bought the ring many years ago when she was younger. She offered her daughter the ring but they refuse because they don’t like the design. Since she cannot fit the ring on her finger anymore, she decides to sell it for cash.

About the purchased product

K14 gold is a gold alloy with 58.3% pure gold, often known as 14-karat gold. The "K" in K14 refers to karat, which is a gold purity measurement. Because karat is measured in 24ths, 24-karat gold is completely pure, whereas 14-karat gold is roughly 58.3% pure. Because K14 gold is more durable than higher-purity gold alloys, it is a popular choice for jewelry. Because pure gold is soft and flexible, it is easily scratched and dented. Jewelers may make a tougher and more durable substance with the lustre and beauty of gold by including additional metals like as copper, silver, and zinc into the alloy. Depending on the other metals used in the alloy, K14 gold can have a range of colors. The most frequent metal is yellow gold, K14 white gold and rose gold are also popular options. White gold is made by combining it with nickel or palladium, but rose gold derives its unique pink colour from copper. It's crucial to understand that K14 gold is not synonymous with "gold-filled" or "gold-plated" jewelry. Gold-filled jewelry contains at least 5% pure gold linked to a base metal such as brass or copper, whereas gold-plated jewelry has a thin coating of gold electroplated onto the surface of another metal.
