This pendant don't have the seal or we call it hallmark stamping but it comes with receipt. The receipt state that this item is 916 gold grade. However, we still need to go through a few steps to check the grade of this pendant for the confirmation. After we check the hallmark, we need to test this pendant with magnet. Gold is not magnetic. If the gold is attracted to the magnet, it is likely to be gold-plated or fake. The other step is by using Hydrometer Machine to check the density. This machine do not accurate for the hollow design. If the density come out 22, so the item is 916 grade. This machine more accurate when the item is the solid one. For example, 999.9 gold bar, the density MUST come out 24, if not, we cannot buy. The last step is acid test. This step we need to use glove for precaution. Make a light scratch on test stone. Then, apply a small drop of nitric acid on the mark. If the scratch melt, means that the item not real gold. From the scratch also we can see the color of gold, dark or yellowish.
