Cuba dekatkan magnet di atas emas yang ingin diuji, jika emas tersebut terlekat di magnet bermakna emas tersebut adalah palsu ataupun jenis Gold plated. Emas tulen tidak akan berinterasi dengan magnet.

3. Menggunakan mesin hydrometer

Precious metal tester atau mesin hydrometer ini biasanya dapat diperolehi di kedai-kedai emas atau kedai membeli emas, anda boleh bawa emas anda ke kedai emas untuk periksa emas itu tulen atau palsu. Mesin ini juga boleh mengesan berat serta ketulenan dan ketumpatan untuk suatu emas tersebut.

4. Menggunakan acid test

Acid test ini juga boleh didapati di kedai-kedai emas, anda boleh bawa emas anda ke kedai emas untuk periksa emas itu tulen atau palsu dengan menggunakan acid test ini.
