The Classic Check & Nova Check used in Burberry is vinyl- coated canvas (PVC) . It does feels and looks like leather but definitely it’s not.
Classic Check – It’s trim with matte smooth brown or smooth glossy red leather. It’s tan in color with black vertical and horizontal stripes, red stripes and knight insignia.
Nova Check – It’s trim in matte smooth black leather or older design will be trim in polished sort of glossy black leather. It’s cream color with light yellow undertone with black vertical and horizontal stripes and pink stripes.
Pattern Alignment – The red/pink line and the black stripes must meet on the side and on the bottom. Some of the authentic Burberry products with the pattern do not match too well but it’s fairly rare.
Leather Trim – Burberry used a few different color leather and types in their wallets and handbags such as Brown Matte Leather ( Classic Check ), Red polished leather (Classic Check) , Black Matte Leather (Nova Check) & Black polished leather (Older line – Nova Check) .
Hardware – Hardware used in Burberry wallet/ handbag comes in 2 colors such as Silver-toned or Gold-toned.
Zipper – Lampo, riri & YKK zipper mostly will be at the outside metal zipper of the Burberry products.
Dust Bag – Older dust bag is navy blue with Burberry while newer dust bag is tan with black drawstring.
