How to differentiate real & fake MCM bag

1. MCM logo pattern

Vertical center line – the logo will face forward

Left side of the vertical line – the logo will face forward

Right side of the vertical line – the logo will face reverse

2. Distinguish MCM logo plate

Flathead screw; all pointing towards centre of the plate.

Can be unscrewed.

Logo: MCM letter -> bay leaf -> Munchen letter -> serial number (must be in order from top to bottom).

Concisely cut, clear cut & crystal cut (no blurriness, fine engraving).

3. Serial number

Only one serial number on one bag.

Stated on the plate either outside or inside.

4. Distinguish from MCM logo’s bay leaf number

8 leaves will be on the right side and 9 leaves will be on the left side.

5. Zippers and metal accessories

MCM logo engraved on the zipper, button and joints.

Use YKK zipper. Some of the real bag has no YKK stamping on the zipper, but as long as some other points shown it’s real bag, then rest assure it’s real bag.

6. Distinguish company tag

Since 2005, all MCM products have the tag inside by Sungjoo Company.
