If something is made from 999 gold, then the full value of gold can be assured. There are three units of gold content measurement that are commonly used. While 999 means that your gold is 99.90% pure and only 0.1% is other metal, 999.9 means your gold is 99.99% pure, i.e. only 0.01% is other metal.
