Gold 20K or 835 is a type of gold with about 83.5% of pure gold. The other 16.5% consists of other metal which is alloy. 20k gold is preferable for plain gold jewellery as it is quite soft for heavily studded jewellery pieces. This type of gold was common in past eras. In modern times 20k gold is hardly ever made. 20K or the number 835 is usually engraved on the jewelry though may be small and concealed, but it should still be visible.
