Gold is not magnetic. To check it, you need a strong magnet compare to average magnet. Fake gold will be attracted to the magnet.<\/p>

3. ACID TEST<\/strong><\/p>

Scratch small amount of your gold jewelry at the test stone. And place small drop of liquid Nitric Acid at the spot. If the spot is melting or vanished, it is not real gold. If the spot unaffected, you have real gold.<\/p>

4. FLOAT AND RUST TEST<\/strong><\/p>

Drop your gold into a cup of water. Real gold is heavy and will sink. Fake gold will float. Real gold will not rust.<\/p>
