If you familiar about watches, there are 4 main styles of watch backs<\/strong> that you should know. For different styles need different tools<\/strong>. You have to determine the watch tool needed<\/strong> to open it up. <\/p>\n

1. Snap Off Case Back<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are so many different types and styles of watches, from cheap to expensive, with snap on case backs. It\u2019s really the most common type of watch on the market. It\u2019s a standard back that snaps on and covers the movement. Mostly this type of back case is for quartz watches.<\/p>\n

These type of watches back case will generally have notches<\/strong>, usually 6<\/strong>, that run around the outside of the case back. Most commonly found on Omega watch or Tag Heuer watch.<\/p>\n

And there are many tools that have pins, pegs or prongs (of different sizes and thicknesses depending on the thickness of the notch), that hook into these slots. That way you can turn and open the case. Some tools have 3 pegs to align. Other tools only use 2 slot grips.<\/p>\n

3. Screw Off Case Back<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These case backs will have a series of edges, grooves, or threads (like the edge of a dime) around the outside edge. These will require special tools. You pick out the right sizes bezel that fits these threads snug, then snap the handle on, and twist it. You will commonly found this type of back case on Rolex watches.<\/p>\n

If the case back has screws, grab a good set of precision watch screwdrivers, and unscrew those little screws. (Keep a tin handy to collect them, that way you don\u2019t lose them or drop them). One of the biggest manufacturers of watches that require a screwdriver\u2026 Casio!<\/p>\n
