History Of Omega<\/h2>\n\n\n

Omega<\/strong> watches brand established by Louis Brandt. He was open a small work shop in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland in 1848. During first thirty years after it was founded, Brandt maintained a modest business, selling his watches to customers around the world.\u00a0

Louis Brandt produce the first Omega movement in 1894. The name, Omega, the last letter of the Greek alphabet, symbolised the company\u2019s efforts to reach the pinnacle of horological prowess.

When he passed away in 1879, his sons quickly stepped in to carry on their father\u2019s vision.

Omega<\/strong> was selected by NASA \u00a0for use on the Apollo 11 mission, the Omega Speedmaster became recognised as the first watch on the moon in 1969. Omega also remains the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games. the Omega Seamaster became the watch of choice for the big screen’s Agent 007, James Bond.

Over the years, Omega<\/strong> has attracted a wide range of famous wearers including the likes of John F. Kennedy, Elvis Presley, and Prince William.

The Omega Seamaster<\/strong> is Omega\u2019s longest-running product line, and has been in production since 1948. Its original design was based on designs for the British Royal Navy at the end of the Second World War.
