Since designers’ bags are very popular all the time, fake bags hit the streets and online auctions. Don’t be misled to purchase a Louis Vuitton bag that claims to be the real thing if it doesn’t actually happen. Sometimes a fake from an authentic can be difficult to tell, but there are various ways to identify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trim<\/strong>: The Louis Vuitton trim is made of Vachetta leather and tans naturally as the bag ages. Most of the fakes are done in a light tan trim or a fake aged trim that won’t change with age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monogram placement<\/strong>: Monogram placement is done carefully and is consistent across the pieces. It’s not going to be torn or cut off. On each bag style it looks the same.
